AUXFIN is proud to announce the establishment of AUXFIN Moçambique Lda., marking an important milestone in our mission to drive inclusive rural transformation across Africa.

This expansion follows two years of extensive market studies, stakeholder consultations, and in-depth analysis aimed at understanding the opportunities and challenges within Mozambique's agricultural sector. We are delighted to welcome Mr. Zulficar Buraimo as Start-up Manager for AUXFIN Mozambique. Bringing a wealth of experience, strong stakeholder networks, and a deep passion for rural development, Zulficar will lead our efforts to establish and grow operations in the country.

The timing of AUXFIN's entry into Mozambique could not be more relevant. Agriculture remains the backbone of the country's economy, employing more than 70 percent of the population. Yet many farmers continue to face challenges related to limited market access, weak integration into structured value chains, and inadequate access to financial services.

AUXFIN believes that these challenges also present significant opportunities. By combining customised digital solutions with community structuring and capacity building, we aim to strengthen local value chains, improve productivity, and enhance access to markets and finance.

Speaking at the Mozambique–EU Global Gateway Business Forum on 10 June, where he was invited to pitch to investors, value chain actors, and development agencies, Zulficar emphasised the transformative potential of AUXFIN's approach.

"The approach and solutions of AUXFIN are coming at the right moment and in the right place. The potential is huge for us to strengthen local value chains, increase the supply of locally produced goods, reduce import dependence, and help ease foreign exchange pressure," he noted.

Our expansion into Mozambique builds on proven successes in countries such as Burundi and Burkina Faso, where AUXFIN's integrated digital solutions have contributed to stronger farmer organisations, improved financial inclusion, enhanced productivity, and more resilient rural livelihoods. We are committed to leveraging these experiences and adapting them to the Mozambican context to maximise impact.
