Apart from being a seasoned health specialist, Lander developed in his many years of working experience a keen interest in social progress, multi-stakeholder engagement, co-creation and supportive supervision. Driven by what communities consider as priority challenges, he is skilled in finding solutions by connecting people, programmes and funds, based on a profound understanding of the existing, real needs on the ground. Apart from having practiced as MD, his unique track record consists amongst others of positions across the globe with Médecins Sans Frontières and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands.

Lena brings extensive expertise in development, sustainability, and corporate responsibility to the Advisory Board, shaped by a distinguished career across the private sector, public service, and civil society. As the Sudan adviser to the UN Global Compact, she played a pivotal role in launching the initiative in Sudan and advancing responsible business practices. She went on to embed sustainability and corporate responsibility into the core strategy of a leading Sudanese food company, which later received regional and global recognition for its social investment efforts. Lena has worked with multilateral institutions and also served as Minister of Labour and Social Development in Sudan’s transitional government. She is also a co-founder of Impact Hub Khartoum and a former Board Director of the global Impact Hub Association, underscoring her long-standing commitment to social innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive develop-ment.

In her Advisory role, Marieke brings twenty-five years of experience in the financial sector (impact investing; asset and fund management) and in non-governmental organisations. She gained her impact investing experience at DOEN Foundation, Phenix Capital, Cardano (formerly SNS Impact Investing), and PGGM. Marieke also worked at Amref Flying Doctors and supported the set-up of several microfinance institutions. She has served on various boards and credit and investment committees. Passionate about putting assets to use for a better world, she co-founded Kosmos Impact, with the mission to inspire and support clients to use their assets to make a positive impact on global challenges.
