Communication


We deliver some communication tools as part of delivery of our solutions and the training program. Within UMVA communication we deliver messenger and a phone systems.

The first tool is UMVA MESSENGER, it is a messaging tool inside of UMVA to make it even more simpler. Members connected to the financial system and AUX-EL are able to give a short message to another member or the service organizations, requiring explanations or delivery of more details with regards to the financial transfers. It is an integrated part of the UMVA processes.

The second tool is TELEPHONE and VoIP, Voice over IP, that is the use of a computer for telephone conversations. We assist our members with a Skype address but are also able to connect them to other solutions or our own solution the MIGRANT PHONE.

The new technology with regards to phone communication is VoIP. Since we need to establish Internet connection to run the UMVA system for the financial transfers we can use this connection also to run our VoIP Systems. Specially in rural areas where there is no other option than use of an expensive mobile phone or a VoIP system will contribute to reduce poverty. We have several methods to deliver the solution either in shops, or business centres, hotels and other partners who are able to deliver a quality service. With the migrant phone system we are able to deliver a free communication tool for the members in and outside of the country. This means that the total community are able to communicate free (without cost ) with each other. One step further with the technology will deliver people outside of their home country with a telephone number of their home country resulting that the friends from the home country can call at local costs if they are not connected to the VoIP system.

One of the cost elements of the Diaspora with regards to remittances is communication. Out of the total 25% cost of transfer of remittances 6% is connected to communication. Once we can organise the communication in a better and cheaper way this will help not only to reduce the cost of transfer in remittances but also improve communication in total.
