The implementation of the UMVA system at an MFI is based on the 6 days program, with the steps:

  1. 1. Seminar
  2. 2. Site Visit
  3. 3. Vision workshop
  4. 4. Feasibility study
  5. 5. Training
  6. 6. Implementation and Test

The implementation could be organized as a 6 day process, if the MFI has the members in an electronic form. This process is a “big bang” approach.
When implemented the MFI should organize a few days or weeks to work with the old and new system, we call this the shadow administration; with special reports we are able to make comparison between te old and new way of working.
In general the implementation will take about 3 months.
